What are Optic Disc Drusen?  What is the treatment for Optic Disc Drusen?

 

Optic disc drusen is cause by hyaline deposits in the optic nerve.  These Drusen tend to grow over time causing’s peripheral vision defects and small hemorrhages around the optic nerve.  There is no treatment available for optic disc drusen.  Typically, side vision tests (visual fields) are used to monitor the progression.
